Dance is movement to music. It can be a form of expression or even a form of meditation if the mind is in the present moment and free of thoughts. You may well ask why have we included Dance on a yoga website? Specifically Barre workouts. Barre combines ballet moves with the strengthening and stretching of yoga and pilates. The ballet barre is used as a prop to help you balance and extend beyond your active stretch limits. Barre classes can help strengthen specific muscle groups such as the glutes and core, increase flexibility, tone your abdominal muscles and improve strength and endurance.
